Pregnant women can travel, as long as they have the approval of the specialist and take into account a series of recommendations such as those mentioned below:
- Travel accompanied whenever possible.
- Maintain all safety measures.
- Hydrate frequently and carry a healthy snack.
- Always wear sunscreen, even when it is not summer.
- Walk frequently (every hour) for several minutes, either in the aisle of the plane, train or making stops if traveling by car.
- Wear comfortable and loose-fitting clothing, avoiding tight-fitting garments.
- Do not carry weight.
- Do not self-medicate.
- Search beforehand for a hospital at the destination where pregnancy emergencies can be treated.
- Avoid exotic destinations.
In addition, special care should be taken with food and with the hygienic measures of water and food, due to the possible transmission of diseases.
