When you reach the second or third month of pregnancy, the gestational check-ups begin. The first pregnancy check-up includes a medical visit where the pregnant woman's weight and blood pressure will be taken. In addition, the specialist will carry out an ultrasound scan to observe the measurements of the embryo and assess whether everything is developing correctly up to this point.
The doctor will also order a blood and urine test to check for the presence of antibodies.
