During pregnancy, a woman's breasts are prepared for the subsequent breastfeeding of the newborn. This can cause pain due to changes in the breasts.
The most common breast changes during pregnancy are listed below:
- Increase in vascularisation and fat inside the breast.
- Increased sensitivity of the nipples.
- Darkening of the areolas.
