Uterine prolapse or the dropping of the uterus into the vagina does not cause symptoms in all women but rather depends on its severity. Women with moderate or severe uterine prolapse may experience urinary incontinence, painful intercourse, lower back discomfort, vaginal bleeding and increased discharge.
These symptoms are usually worse when the woman is sitting, standing for long periods of time and in the early morning hours. When uterine prolapse is an impediment to continue with the daily routine, it is best to consult a specialist so that he can establish the best treatment.
