    1. Hi there!

Does anyone know if we can get tested for being carriers of cycstic fibrosis at this clinic. It runs in both our families so we want to see what the odds are of us having a baby with the disease. Thanks

      • Hi Hubert_hew

According to their wesbite, this clinic treats heritable genetic disorders, so from this I would deduce that it is something they would test for from a reproductive point of view.

Even if you are both carriers of the disease gene, this center provides pre-implantation genetic testing, so you can select for healthy embryos in an IVF cycle to make sure you have a healthy baby.

If you are interesting in reading more about the genetic tests, this article may be useful: Testing For Hereditary Diseases: Genetic Compatibility Test (GCT)

        I hope this helps
        All the best
