Is male fertility affected in men with only one testicle?

By Marta Barranquero Gómez B.Sc., M.Sc. (embryologist).
Last Update: 11/04/2025

Men who have only one testicle, either from birth or due to illness, do not necessarily have fertility problems.

If that testicle functions properly and sperm production is not impaired, the man will be able to conceive naturally.
