If the triple screening test has not been performed in the first trimester of pregnancy, it is possible to do it in the second trimester. When the screening results are abnormal, it is advisable to perform an amniocentesis in the 16th-18th week of pregnancy to confirm the diagnosis.
Chorionic villus sampling is not indicated if more than 12 weeks of gestation have elapsed.
