Blood tests in the third month of pregnancy

By the time a woman reaches the third month of pregnancy, enough weeks have passed for her to know that she is pregnant. For this reason, at her first pregnancy check-up, the specialist will order a blood test.

This blood test will determine the woman's blood group and RH factor, whether there are any antibodies to certain diseases and the iron levels to prevent anaemia. In addition, this blood test will also measure the levels of pregnancy hormone, i.e. beta hCG.
