Embryo development and organogenesis

In the 7th week of pregnancy, the embryo is 5 weeks old and can reach a length of more than 1 cm. The most important changes it has undergone in its evolution have been the following: production of one billion neurons in the brain, heart with two chambers, formation of organs such as the lungs, liver and pancreas, which begin to function.

In this week the primitive nostrils are also formed, the eyes acquire coloration and facial features begin to differentiate.
