Signs and symptoms of amenorrhea

Signs and symptoms of amenorrhea

The main symptom of amenorrhea is the absence of menstruation for at least three months. In addition, other signs that may lead to the suspicion of amenorrhea are sleep disturbance, vaginal dryness, hair loss or absence of ovulation (anovulation).

Most of these symptoms derive from the decrease or blockage of estrogen release by the ovary. Therefore, it is essential to visit a specialist so that he can establish the best treatment.
