Signs and symptoms of amenorrhea

The main symptom of amenorrhea is the absence of menstruation for at least three months. In addition, other signs that may raise suspicion of amenorrhea are sleep disturbances, vaginal dryness, hair loss or the absence of ovulation (anovulation).

Most of these symptoms derive from the decrease or blockage of estrogen release by the ovary. It is therefore essential to visit a specialist so that the best treatment can be established.
