Birth rates from IUI and IVF

The delivery rate of assisted reproductive techniques provides information on the probability of achieving the birth of a healthy baby after artificial insemination (AI) or in vitro fertilization (IVF).

As can be seen in this image, the success rates of IVF are much higher than those of AI. Likewise, the success rates decrease for both techniques as the woman gets older.

For example, in women under 35 years of age, the success rate for IVF-ICSI is 33.7%, while IUI has a success rate of 14.1%. In contrast, these percentages are reduced to 12.8% and 6.0% respectively in women over 40 years of age. The results shown in the image have been obtained from the statistical registry of the year 2023 of the Spanish Fertility Society.

The statistical data shown here should not be used to imply or predict a certainty of outcome for a specific individual within an at-risk population.
