Some of the factors that could be related to an increased risk of ectopic pregnancy in IVF are listed below:
- Transfer on day 3.
- Transfer of more than one embryo.
- Fresh transfer.
- Thin endometrium.
If these factors are known and efforts are made to avoid them, as far as possible and especially when there are other risk factors, this could lead to a reduction in the incidence of ectopic pregnancy after assisted reproduction.
