When the asthmatic woman does not have her asthma well controlled during pregnancy, certain complications may arise for her, but also for her baby. Among the maternal complications of poorly controlled asthma in pregnancy are:
- Preeclampsia.
- Placenta previa.
- Gestational diabetes.
However, the risk of cesarean delivery may also be increased.
