Macronutrients and female fertility

Macronutrients are classified into carbohydrates, lipids and proteins. For those women who are seeking to achieve pregnancy, it is recommended not to ingest large amounts of processed carbohydrates such as white bread or pasta. Instead, whole grain carbohydrates are recommended to help female fertility. In this way, there is a lower production of insulin in the organism since the growth of sugar concentration is slower.

In relation to lipids, foods such as light tuna, prawns and salmon, among others, have a high Omega 3 content, which is beneficial for female fertility.

Finally, it is advisable to preferably consume proteins of vegetable origin to those of animal origin. Therefore, foods such as broccoli, lentils and quinoa are recommended by medical specialists.
