Bicornuate uterus is a congenital uterine malformation due to incomplete development of the Müllerian ducts during the fetal stage. As most of the time the biocorneal uterus is asymptomatic, the only way to discover this uterine malformation is by ultrasound.
In addition, other tests such as an MRI or hysteroscopy may be performed to confirm the result.
