The first time a woman administers the monthly contraceptive injection is usually between the first and fifth day of the menstrual cycle (day 1 of the cycle coincides with the first day of menstruation).
On the other hand, the woman should consult the specialist about the convenience of using a condom during the 7 days following the application of the first injection.
As for the following injections, the woman should remember to go for their administration every 30 days or on the same day of each month (August 8, September 8...), regardless of when she has her menstruation. In addition, it is important to give the new injection on the indicated date for this contraceptive method to be effective.
