Sperm collection options

Sperm collection options

When IVF-ICSI treatment is to be performed, it may happen that at the time of fertilisation, it is not possible to obtain spermatozoa or that the sperm has deteriorated. In these cases, it is possible to vitrify the eggs so that sperm can be obtained.

Alternatively, a testicular biopsy may be performed to try to retrieve some sperm when the problem is that there are no sperm in the ejaculate.
