In an assisted reproduction treatment such as IVF, ovarian stimulation is performed, the final step of which is classically an hCG injection (the trigger) that triggers the final maturation of the eggs and ovulation.
However, there is currently another therapeutic strategy: the double trigger. In this case, in addition to the hCG injection, a GnRH agonist drug is also administered.
