When a woman gives birth and has undergone an episiotomy, it is recommended to follow a series of guidelines from the very beginning. For example, it is advisable to wash daily using a neutral pH soap and to avoid baths. In addition, wearing cotton underwear and following a fiber-rich diet are recommended.
Sexual intercourse is not advised, as the woman may experience pain and it could also be harmful to the healing process.
