When a woman has tubal obstruction, she will not present any characteristic symptoms. Furthermore, the diagnosis may be delayed since it is not easy to visualize in routine gynecological ultrasounds.
However, if the obstruction of the fallopian tubes is caused by an infection, the woman may experience pain, discomfort, and fever. In any case, a woman will suspect possible tubal obstruction when she tries to conceive without success. At that point, it is best to consult a fertility specialist to carry out a thorough evaluation.
