How long do I have to wait for the embryo transfer after ovarian hyperstimulation?

By Rebeca Reus BSc, MSc (embryologist).
Last Update: 08/10/2018

It is necessary to wait at least until the first menstruation after the OHSS, that is, until the next cycle.

After that, it will be the specialists who will have to assess the situation and, depending on the endometrial preparation protocol chosen and the patient's condition, decide when it is advisable to perform the thawing and transfer of the vitrified embryos.
