How long do the symptoms of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) last?

By Rebeca Reus.
Last Update: 08/10/2018

OHSS doesn't last long, as it usually disappears when the first menstruation begins after treatment with ovarian stimulation.

If pregnancy has occurred, the symptoms will last up to 70 days and may become more severe. Therefore, it will be necessary to carry out an exhaustive follow-up of the patient's evolution.
