How much vomiting is considered hyperemesis gravidarum?

Last Update: 12/05/2022

There is no agreement on the limit number of daily vomiting to consider hyperemesis, but there are several ways of assessing the severity of symptoms, such as the PUQE scale (Mother Risk Pregnancy-unique quantification of emesis and nausea)

There is no limit since the same number of vomiting may have no consequences in one person and in another may be accompanied by an intolerance to ingestion and end up producing a severe hyperemesis. Therefore, the best thing to do is to consult a professional who will be in charge of the assessment.
