Other hormonal values in women

Generally, most female hormones are tested between the third and fifth day of menstruation, as this is when they are in a basal state. However, progesterone should be tested on day 21 of the menstrual cycle and anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) can be tested at any time.

Other hormones that can be studied in women are T3, T4, testosterone and inhibin. Each of these has reference values which can be seen in the table in the image.
