Hysterosalpingography is a test that is sometimes included in the female fertility study, as it provides information about the condition of the fallopian tubes.
Through this fertility test in women, it is possible to detect:
- Uterine malformations.
- Abnormal formations in the uterus such as, for example, polyps or fibroids.
- Inflammation of the fallopian tubes.
- Obstruction of the fallopian tubes.
It is a painless test, although some women describe feeling discomfort similar to that of menstruation.
