The Fertile Chip is a modern device designed to select the spermatozoa with less fragmentation in the double DNA chain and with better motility. This device consists of two chambers connected by a microfluidic channel.
The seminal sample is placed in the inlet chamber and the spermatozoa are moved to the collection chamber. After 30 minutes of incubation at 37ºC, the best spermatozoa will have reached the collection chamber and will be used for in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.
