The first visit to an assisted reproduction clinic is very important and involves initial contact with the professional. The first step in the infertility consultation is to compile the medical history or anamnesis. The professional will ask about various aspects to gain a deeper understanding of the patients' situation.
The next step is usually a transvaginal ultrasound for the woman to assess her ovarian reserve by counting the antral follicles. If deemed appropriate, the specialist will request additional tests. Based on all the results, the specialist will be able to provide information about the definitive diagnosis, as well as the available reproductive options.
