    Hi all!

I had my tubes tied 10 years ago with my ex-boyfriend since we already had two children together and didn’t want any more kids. However, we separated and my new partner and I reconsider my decision since he expressed that he wanted to have a common child with me and that’s what I want too.

So, I’m looking for a capable specialist that can undo my tubal ligation. Also, I hope this doesn’t affect my pregnancy chances too much. I’m deeply sorry for my tied tubes but the circumstances have changed.

Well, if anyone has gone through similar things and wants to share, go ahead. Looking for insights!!

  2. Hi Kiddo,

I’m deeply sorry to hear about your regrets. I’ve been down the road, too. My doctor sent me straight to IVF since the pregnancy rates are higher than with a tubal recanalization. It was so worth it!! It took me just one round to get pregnant. I highly recommend you Assisted Fertility Program if you are from Florida.

    Keep me updated!

    • Thank you so much, I’m happy to hear that you were so successful. Also, thanks for your recommendation but I’m from Miami and Assisted Fertility Program is too far away for me. But then again, maybe I can schedule a call and ask some questions. Looking forward to other suggestions from you guys.

    • Hi Kiddo,

Tubal ligation in women is considered a permanent contraceptive method, as the possibility of a natural pregnancy after this surgery is practically zero. Nevertheless, a woman who has her tubes tied can become pregnant again these days thanks to these two options: In-vitro Fertilization (IVF) and tubal ligation reversal.

However, which method to choose depends on the type of tubal ligation performed. Also, it should be noted that surgeries related to the fallopian tubes, including tubal recanalization, increase the risk of extra-uterine pregnancy. For this reason, in addition to the complexity of the operation, most experts recommend considering IVF as the first option for achieving pregnancy after tubal ligation. Read more about your pregnancy options with tied tubes here: What Are Your Chances of Pregnancy After Tubal Ligation?

Furthermore, I recommend you have a look at our clinic directory. There, you will find information on fertility clinics in Miami, their services, costs, and much more.

Hope this is of use to you,

      all the best.
