Hello, can someone help me out? You see, I’ve been ttc for 6 months without success.. Desperate i got an ovulation prediction test kit to have sex exactly during ovulation but the test came out negative when i had a considerable amount of cervical mucus (day 14). Do ovulation test kits really work? what’s going on?

  2. Dear laura issy,

The presence of cervical mucus is indeed a major sign of ovulation, but it does not indicate that you’re ovulating in that precise moment, but rather that it’s likely to start. It’s during those days when you should have intercourse to increase your chances of getting pregnant.

My advice is that you take another test after a few days. If it is still negative, see your gynecologist to get further advice and information about the possible causes.

    I hope this helps,

    Best
