Hello there, I’m just a few days apart for my donated embryos to be transferred to my uterus. I’m just super nervous!!!! But happy at the same time. I can’t wait for everything being perfect, after 5 failed cycles… Can I ask u something? Is there anything one can do increase the chances of embryo implantation? Maybe this is a non-sense, but perhaps there’s something I can eat or drink? Bed rest? ANYTHING????!!!!

Regardless of whether it is an embryo adoption cycle or any other fertility treatment, the outcomes are not so dependent of the patient even if that is commonly her desire. The success rate will basically depend on embryo quality, which should be high enough as to be included in the donor program.
Secondly, endometrial receptivity is another factor influencing the outcome of this treatment. To that end, the uterine cavity is prepared with hormone medications, which in general make it reach the adequate endometrial thickness to host the embryo. In cases of uterine factor, or when blood clot or immunological problems appear, it will be also controlled with medications.
As regards bed rest, it is unnecessary too. You can continue with your normal lifestyle as long as you avoid great efforts. During the 2WW, as in any other phase, you can follow a balanced, healthy diet, but there is no particular food that could help you increase the success rates of the treatment.
Wishing you the best of luck!
Regards
