When a deferred transfer is to be performed, that is, a transfer of frozen embryos, there are different ways to perform the endometrial preparation.
On the one hand, endometrial preparation can be performed with a natural cycle, taking advantage of the hormonal production of the woman's own ovary, which produces estrogens and progesterone depending on the phase of the menstrual cycle she is in.
On the other hand, the substituted cycle (or artificial cycle) consists of preparing the endometrium with the administration of estrogens and progesterone through hormonal drugs.
