The ovaries can become inflamed from any cause and cause problems in women. However, the most common cause of ovarian inflammation is usually infection, so the most common treatment for ovaritis is antibiotics prescribed by a specialist.
However, there are some risk factors for oophoritis such as, for example, having gone through a previous pregnancy, having multiple sexual partners or douching.
