Hysteropexy, also known as uterine ventrofixation and colpohysteropexy, consists of fixing the uterus to the abdominal wall as a form of treatment for uterine prolapse.

The efficacy and necessity of this surgical treatment to help keep the uterus in its normal position is not yet confirmed by all medical specialists. However, hysteropexy is a fairly and constantly evolving technique. In addition, this procedure offers long-lasting results.
