The ideal time to do a contrast hysterosalpingosonography or HyCoSy is at the beginning of the menstrual cycle, before ovulation. If the woman's menstrual cycle is regular and lasts 28 days, it would be advisable to do this test to evaluate the fallopian tubes around day 7-10 of the cycle.
On the day of the HyCoSy, do not come fasting or with a full bladder.
