When a couple has been having unprotected sex for more than a year and they don't get pregnant, there may be fertility problems in the woman, the man, or even both partners.
In relation to female fertility problems, they can be classified into 4 groups
- Ovarian factor
- provoked by hormonal alterations that cause a malfunctioning of the ovaries For this reason, it may happen that there is no ovulation, for example.
- Tubal factor
- when there are alterations in the fallopian tubes and they cause their obstruction. In these cases, the encounter between the egg and the sperm is not possible.
- Uterine factor
- due to the presence of endometriosis, polyps, etc.
- Cervical factor
- due to alterations in the cervix.
