External factors that affect sperm production

Nowadays, several external factors and daily situations can affect male fertility by reducing the number of sperm produced in the testicles.

Some of the most common factors are:

  • Environmental pollutants such as street drugs, alcohol, or tobacco
  • Cancer treatments, like chemotherapy or radiotherapy
  • Laptop use, as it can raise scrotal temperature
  • Mobile phone radiation
  • Too tight clothes and or incorrect saddle position when cycling
