The choice of natural or cesarean delivery should be a choice of the couple, unless it depends on a medical decision. In general, natural or vaginal childbirth has more advantages than cesarean section, since it is not necessary to perform a surgical intervention.
Because of this, the recovery time after delivery is shorter, as well as the bleeding and the risk of infection from surgery.
Finally, during vaginal delivery, the hormone oxytocin is released, which helps the baby adapt to breastfeeding and improves the mother's bond with her child.
