The type of breastfeeding will cause the restoration of ovulation after delivery to occur sooner or later. For those women who choose bottle feeding, their ovulation will return to normal 4-8 weeks after delivery. This is because prolactin levels decrease and therefore FSH and LH production is unblocked, resulting in ovulation.
