Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) is a complementary assisted reproduction technique that allows the genetic material of embryos to be analyzed in order to transfer those that are chromosomally normal, and, therefore, with greater potential for implantation.
Here are some situations in which specialists recommend performing PGD:
- Inherited genetic disease.
- Altered karyotype.
- Infants medicines.
- Implantation failures in previous cycles.
