The first step for gender selection is carrying out a normal IVF process to obtain embryos.
Then, after being cultured for various days, the embryos are biopsied (i.e. some cells are removed) in order for their chromosomes to be examined.
By doing this, we will be able to know which embryos are male and which are female.
