Ovarian transposition, also known as oophoropexy, involves changing the location of the ovaries. In this way, the ovaries are protected against radiotherapy.
When the woman has overcome the cancer and has finished the cancer treatment, the specialist will then put the ovaries back in place. This technique would help to preserve the woman's fertility in the future.
