The success of in vitro fertilization (IVF) depends on many factors, but the most important is the age of the woman. Therefore, the success rates of an assisted reproduction treatment are always differentiated in age ranges.
As we can see in the graph, while the rate of delivery by embryo transfer in women under 35 years of age is 35.5%, this same percentage decreases to 11.8% in women over 40 years of age. These percentages refer to IVF-ICSI and IVF-Mixed treatment and have been extracted from the latest statistical registry of the Spanish Fertility Society (Registro Nacional de Actividad 2021-Registro SEF).
