Preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) is a complementary technique that is not always performed when patients undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. Generally, PGT is recommended in the following situations:
- Advanced maternal age.
- Repeated miscarriages.
- Molecular diseases.
- Cytogenetic diseases.
- Implantation failure.
In addition, the image shows the percentages of each of the indications in which PGT has been performed. These data have been obtained from the latest statistical registry of the Spanish Fertility Society corresponding to the year 2022.
