Secretory azoospermia is the complete absence of spermatozoa in the ejaculate due to an alteration in spermatogenesis, that is, in the sperm manufacturing process.
The causes of secretory azoospermia, also known as excretory azoospermia, are diverse. Some of them are listed below:
- Congenital problems.
- Hormonal alterations.
- Genetic disorders.
- Testicular problems.
- Childhood diseases.
- Oncological treatments of radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
