All assisted reproduction centers in Spain must submit their results of success rates to the Spanish Fertility Society (SEF) which, through its 2020 National Activity Register (Registro Nacional de Actividad 2020-Registro SEF), publishes all the results. In this way, the success rates of the different techniques can be known.
Conjugal artificial insemination (CAI) or donor artificial insemination (CAI) have a lower success rate than in vitro fertilization or ovodonation. However, they are the most recommended techniques in women under 35 years of age who do not present infertility problems.
In the case of ovodonation, the woman's age does not matter because eggs from a young, healthy donor are used. Therefore, the success rate will depend largely on the quality of the man's sperm.
