When there is an alteration in the cervix, the sperm will not be able to reach the egg to fertilise it. As a result, the woman will not achieve pregnancy.
Abnormalities in the development of the cervix, cervical infections or cervicitis are some of the reasons for female infertility due to cervical factor.
