When a woman has a hormonal alteration, it is possible that her menstrual cycle is affected and, therefore, her ovulation. This is known as ovarian or endocrine factor female infertility, since if there is no ovulation, the egg will not be released and, as a consequence, fertilisation will not occur.
Some of the possible causes of ovarian factor infertility in women are stress, obesity, low weight or the administration of certain medications, among others.
