When a situation of stress and anxiety arises, the body generates a state of alert. This causes the secretion of hormones such as adrenaline and cortisol. According to some studies, chronic stress can affect fertility in both men and women.
In women, chronic stress can lead to changes in the menstrual cycle, while in men, stress affects the process of sperm production (spermatogenesis).
