Pregnancy with bilateral tubal obstruction

The bilateral obstruction of the fallopian tubes is the blockage of both tubes. This situation prevents natural pregnancy, as the union of the egg and sperm is blocked. However, the woman can undergo surgical treatment or reproductive treatment to achieve pregnancy.

Despite this information, results obtained for the surgical permeabilization of the tubes are not always desired. Therefore, on some occasions, the couple opts to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF), as it´s not needed for the tube to be permeable.
