Spermatogenesis is the process of sperm formation that occurs in the testes and takes about 3 months. The last phase of sperm formation is known as spermiogenesis. In this phase of the process, the spermatozoa mature and acquire their typical forms.
Therefore, any alteration in the last stage of spermatogenesis could result in the formation of amorphous spermatozoa, either due to abnormalities in the head, tail and/or neck.
